WHY THE RECIPE

My
thoughts

It's Saturday evening. We write the year 2049. Well, not quite, but almost ;)
Inspired by the movie Blade Runner 2049 I had a photo shoot with my photo club in our state capital Saarbrücken.

My idea for the pictures was to make them very cineastic and with the light that is available to me in the city.
We chose places that had a special light.
I wanted to create a real closeness, so I had chosen the new Fuji XF 18mm 1.4 on the X-Pro 3.
The wide angle allowed me to get nice and close and still have a lot of the environment on it. It had to be the right perspective to create a special atmosphere that looked like a film.
Since I was traveling at night, I had again chosen the recipe "ZERO HOUR", my recipe that I personally prefer to use at night, because it was also developed for that. The contrasts and white balance are adapted to the color brightness and night lights in the city.
The typical colors of traffic lights or neon signs were changed by shifting the white balance to create a new or different impression.

It should look like in the cinema ;)

I specifically looked for shadows with interesting light reflections to create an oppressive mood.
And again and again I had the scenes of Ryan Gosling in BLADE RUNNER in my head.

As always all images are SOOC!
