DUNE (9)
Code name "Malibu Classic"
Way ahead, this recipe wants to be best underexposed.
Malibu Classic delivers warm and high-contrast images. Strongly saturated colors like red, green or blue are tamed on the one hand by the film simulation Classic Chrome and additionally by the reduced color setting.
By shifting the white balance towards red, the recipe gets a little desert look. It all looks a little like a small sandstorm is raging. I was inspired by the movie DUNE. The recipe is not meant to mimic the look, but only served me as a template for color adjustments.
I like the look because it makes rather boring motifs look more interesting through its color effect.
What looks especially good with the recipe in my eyes are shots with little or indirect window light.
For portraits, however, I wouldn't necessarily choose this recipe unless you have a specific graphic concept you're pursuing. Still, if it looks good you can do it!
As always, I've included a few examples to give you an idea if this look would work for your Fujifilm camera.
Thanks to my Recipe-Taster @Jannik Scheer, who tested the recipe in Tenerife.
